Herod Agrippa I
- (10 BCE-44 CE)King of Judea (41-4), son of Aristobulus and Berenice I and grandson of Herod the Great. Educated in Rome, he served as market overseer in Tiberius and later returned to Rome, where he became a friend of Caligula. After being imprisoned for treachery, he was freed by Caligula, who appointed him King of Judea. He was sympathetic to the Pharisees and observant of Jewish law.
